Until such time as there is funding for a high school, the Nambale Magnet School has managed to find scholarships for each graduating vulnerable eighth grade student. This is a pivotal moment where it is important to support these vulnerable children in continuing their education and not let them retreat into homelessness and lack of opportunity. Since this vulnerable student population has so little support in terms of family, Cornerstone Project funded back packs as a gift the outgoing 8th graders to take them to use in their new high schools. It is a reward for their hard work.

This tradition has developed over the past three years and the graduates feel honored and grateful to have such support from their school family.
