After visiting the Nambale Magnet School in May of 2018 it was clear that she has a passion for teaching and working with current classroom teachers. Colleen was the first student teacher and member of the Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society to attend the Nambale Magnet school.
As a member of Kappa Delta Pi Colleen served on the board for 3 consecutive years as Fundraising Chair and Membership Chair. Her main responsibilities were planning and running fundraising events and supporting new members of Kappa Delta Pi at the University of Rhode Island. While at the Nambale Magnet School, Colleen inducted the teachers into Kappa Delta Pi and started the partnership between the Nambale Magnet School and Kappa Delta Pi.
Colleen's passion for teaching and learning extends from her scholars in Rhode Island to the scholars and teachers at the Nambale Magnet school. She looks forward to working with the Cornerstone Project in the states and back at the Nambale Magnet School when she can travel again!
