September 1, 2022 - Children of the Nambale Magnet School gain experience from a Kenya newspaper and come out on top in competition!
Grade 8 students were able to get experience and a one-on-one audience with news editors from a national newspaper called Taifa Leo. The newspaper promotes Kiswahili language by offering creating and training on Insha (composition) in Swahili.
The students engaged in a symposium and competition which one of our students emerged the top from the competition with other schools. That student’s work was published in the newspaper. This experience helped learners sharpen their composition skills.
It was also a great opportunity to interact with their peers from other schools. Such an experience was a wonderful gift and will go a long way to prepare them for the ever-important 8th grade exams.
