About the Rev. Evalyn Wakhusama and the Nambale Magnet School
Since 2009, the Nambale Magnet School has provided life-changing education, housing, and nurture to thousands of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) in one of the most impoverished places on earth.
The school was founded by the Rev. Evalyn Wakhusama, a Kenyan native, who forged powerful relationships with members of Connecticut churches while studying for her master’s degree at Yale Divinity School.
From these relationships mission teams traveled to Kenya, non-profits were formed, and the School was launched. Today, the Nambale Magnet School continues to transform and empower the marginalized children of Western Kenya.
Please join us as we honor the ongoing work of Rev. Evalyn and learn more about the extraordinary school she founded.
Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP at www.cornerstoneproject.org/rsvp
