October 12, 2017 - These photos of recent computer class graduates represents a tremendous accomplishment for the Nambale Magnet School and the entire community that houses the school.
The schools mission was to assist the community in lifting itself out of the abject poverty it found itself in as a result of the AIDS pandemic and other factors.
The schools founder, Reverend Evalyn Wakhusama, decided to include adult education into marketable skills would assist in finding meaningful work for its adult population. The revenue from such classes assists in the financial sustainability of the school itself. Sustainability and community development are at the forefront to the Schools goals.
We are proud of the effort of the Nambale Magnet School and how it is making a difference in this rural area.
It is a model of community development.
