The construction of a head teachers house created added security for the children by adding an additional on site adult supervisor to the school. This initiative also created a more attractive employment package for incoming teacher candidates. The house was opened on September 29th and the head teacher moved in last weekend. This brings him closer to school for close supervision of the school. This new abode will allow for needed on site supervision.
The excellent faculty and staff at the Nambale Magnet School are much sought after, and the Board works hard to ensure that they are well compensated and have incentive to remain at the School. It has become clear in recent years that providing housing for the Head Teacher (head of school) will help to ensure continuity and stability. It also facilitates working with students after class time, and makes the school more secure.
With generous donors, the house has been built and is being furnished!
